Connect an exchange
Open exchange accounts from Me. You can create a paper account or save a live key. A paper account matches on this site and is marked with live quotes. A live account identifies the exchange and market.
01Paper account
- Choose paper, not live.
- Pick the exchange and a label you will recognize later.
- Set starting balances for spot and swap. Each defaults to a USDT amount.
- Save it, then use it when you create a paper instance.
02Live keys
A live account needs an API key and secret. OKX and similar venues also need a passphrase. The platform probes the key. If the connection fails, the account can still be saved, but the permission is not marked as passed, and you can retry. If withdraw permission is found, or it cannot be confirmed as off, binding is refused and the account is not saved. Enable only the trade permission you need. Do not enable withdrawals. The strategy process cannot read the key.
Harbor's account API can read balances, positions, leverage, and fees. It cannot withdraw and it cannot transfer between exchange wallets.
