FAQ
Pause and stop, positions after expiry, backtests and paper trading, keys, and the membership fee.
What is the difference between pause and stop?
Pause stops new entries only. The position is kept, and resume continues it. Stop cancels the instance's open orders and stops scheduling. It does not close the position by default. A close uses emergency close and requires a separate confirmation.
Does membership expiry close every position?
No. Expiry drops the account to Free immediately. Instances above quota become reduce-only. Renewal within the grace period restores them without closing positions. If the quota is still exceeded when the grace period ends, the instance stops and the position remains at the exchange.
Are backtest and paper trading the same?
No. A backtest uses historical candles, within the plan window and daily limit. Paper trading matches the current market inside the platform and does not send a live order. Neither represents a future live result.
Are paper and live positions continuous?
No. Paper positions do not enter live trading. Live trading starts from the exchange position at that time and requires the risk preview to be confirmed again.
Can a strategy read the keys?
No. A strategy may only call the Harbor SDK. Keys do not enter the strategy process, logs, or exports.
Why is a key with withdraw permission rejected?
The platform requires trade permission only. Binding is rejected when withdraw permission is detected. Disable withdrawals at the exchange and try again.
Is the membership fee related to profit or loss?
No. The membership fee is a tool fee. A strategy can lose the allocated funds in full. The notice is shown again before access opens.
How is the distance to liquidation calculated?
It is estimated from margin in use, notional, and the maintenance margin rate. The interface marks the figure as an estimate. It is not the exchange's live liquidation price.
How many instances can run at once?
The pricing page shows the current plan. Free live official strategies are spot grid and DCA. Pro can use every official strategy that is already available.
Can an external signal bypass risk limits?
No. A signal may only open or close. Size is the amount entered on the instance. A larger size rejects that order. A spot short entry is rejected.
